Why Recycle

Environmental Impact

Recycling helps protect the environment. Recycling reduces the need for extracting, refining and processing raw materials all of which create air and water pollution. As recycling saves energy it also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which helps to tackle climate change.

For Support

We can utilise some of the new items donated to us by passing them on to our beneficiaries who are struggling financially.

We may use items as part of our work at programs or events.

Generating Funds

Finally we may sell or recycle items to generate funds to support the charity and our work.

Between April 2020 and April 2021 we recycled;

9,318 individual items such as DVDs, CD's & Books

56,000 Ring Pulls

69,150 Bottle Tops (Crown and Plastic)

218 Crafts, Tech, Games and other similar items

96 ink Cartridges

9.8kg of kiloware such as stamps, jewellery

From this you, our supporters have helped us;

- Keep these items from landfill

- Raise over £8,253 in funds to support our work

- Generate stock of over 150 items which are now readily available to distribute to our beneficiaries as and when they are needed.

Aluminium ring pulls accepted. These can be found on fizzy drinks cans and other beverage cans Not only can we generate funds from ring pulls but it also help the environment

British or overseas, New or Used Please cut the stamp off the envelope leaving approx 1cm around the edges. The rest of the envelope can be discarded. You can send any amount to us at any time.

Any gold, silver or costume jewellery accepted including plastic, wood and bronze and other metals Odd bits and pieces, broken or in any condition. We also take watches, broken or working.

DVD's

We can recycle dvd's - old or new. New dvd's we keep and distribute to armed forces community members in financial difficulties as a part of gift when its christmas or a childs birthday. Old dvds are recycled and generate funds

We recycle most inks including Inkjet Cartridges. All you need to do is send them in..

All new, old, broken, working. Accessories not necessary but please feel free to send them too.

CD's

We can recycle cd's - old or new. New cd's we keep and distribute to armed forces community members in financial difficulties as a part of gift when its christmas or a childs birthday. Old cds are recycled and generate funds

Sterling, foreign coins or notes Old British and Irish coins as well as pre decimal coins and notes

Book's

We can recycle most book's - old or new. Suitable books's we keep and distribute to armed forces community members in financial difficulties as a part of gift when its christmas or a childs birthday. Old books are recycled and generate funds

Computer Games

We accept any computer games. I.e Pc Games, Playstation, Xbox, or Retro Cassettes etc.

Tech

We can accept all forms of tech from hudls to kindles, from ipads to cameras. We accept games consoles like Playstation and even retro consoles such as Megadrive.

Gift Sets - Men & Woman

We keep and distribute gift sets to the armed forces community members in financial difficulties as support or as a part of gift when its Christmas or a birthday. Any items that are not used by 2 months before the end date are sold to generate funds.
